Week in Palestine

Dates: Sunday 29. September - Thursday 3. October, 2013

Week in Palestine is an offer to spend some days in Jerusalem and Ramallah before the festival begins. There will be organized tours and you will have some free time to visit the religious and cultural history of the city of Jerusalem and the surrounding areas.

The program will start in Jerusalem on Sunday afternoon, but we recommend that you arrive on Saturday if you want to participate in the full week. Flights are also often cheaper on Saturdays.

The program will start in Jerusalem and move on to Ramallah in the last days. The program is not finalized yet, but if you want to have an idea of what it will look like you can have a look at last years program. There will be fewer days with no program this year, so if you want to have more time to explore for yourself you should plan some days before or after the Week in Palestine and Beit Byout.

Who can join?

The Week in Palestine is primarily for the participants of Beit Byout, but you  are welcome to join even if you do not participate in the festival. We don't, however, have room for an infinite number of people. If you wish to take part in Week in Palestine without going to the festival, please send us an e-mail: palestinelarpfestival@gmail.com.

We recommend that the participants of Beit Byout join us for the whole week as experiencing the culture, language and contrasts of Jerusalem and surrounding areas will make good background for the larps in the festival itself.

Practical arrangements

The Week in Palestine has no participation fee, but you have to pay for all meals, accommodation and tours yourself. For accommodation during Week in Palestine we will provide a recommended alternative which will be of mid-range quality. If you want to stay at this hotel the booking will be through us. If you prefer a cheaper or more luxurious alternative, you are free to organize this on your own.

How to get there?

The easiest way to get into Palestine is to fly to Tel Aviv. Norwegian, SAS and several other airlines have flights from Scandinavia to Tel Aviv Ben Gurion airport. From the airport you can take a taxi or a sherut (minibus) to East Jerusalem, where our hotel is.
